In 1902, he returned to Bulgaria to start his own private legal practice and commissioned the house to Friedrich Grünanger. [2] [1] Grünanger was at the time a leading architect in Bulgaria, having worked on the Royal Palace in Sofia and other prominent assignments. [3] Sarmadzhiev died in 1908, leaving the house behind to his family.

Vazrazhdane (Bulgarian: Възраждане [vɐzˈraʒdɐnɛ]) is a district [1] in the centre of Sofia. As of 2012 it has 49,158 inhabitants. [2] The district's area is 3.16 km 2 (1 sq mi) or 2,5% of the total capital area. It has several neighbourhoods: the Zones B-2, B-3, B-4, B-5, B-18 and B-19 as well as Serdika.
Sea Casino, Burgas. In 1936, Atanas Sirekov, the mayor of Burgas, initiated a design contest for a casino on Burgas Bay. Seventeen architects competed and Angelova won with a design she called "333". The building required a complex design due to the steep slope of the site and its panoramic view of the entire gulf area.
