CFLPA football helmets. The Canadian Football League Players' Association (CFLPA) represents Canadian football players in the Canadian Football League (CFL). The Canadian Football League (CFL); French: Ligue canadienne de football [liɡ kanadjɛn də futbol] (LCF), is a professional Canadian football league based in Canada. It comprises nine teams divided into two divisions: four teams in the East Division and five in the West Division. The CFL is the highest level of competition in Canadian football.

The Blue Bombers' jerseys were dark blue in colour, with gold sleeve stripes. The team's 1950s-era logo was on the front of the jersey, just below the V in the neck. A special CFL "Retro Week" logo adorned each jersey as well, that logo being a take-off of the maple leaf one used as the league symbol from 1954 through 1969.
The first Major League Baseball team in Canada was the Montreal Expos who began play in 1969. In 2005, they moved to Washington, D.C. and became the Washington Nationals. The Toronto Blue Jays, who began play in 1977, became the first team outside the United States to win the World Series in 1992 and 1993.
No player has had his number retired by multiple teams and, unlike Major League Baseball (who retired Jackie Robinson's number), the National Basketball Association (Bill Russell), and the National Hockey League (Wayne Gretzky), the CFL has never had a jersey number retired in favour of one player league-wide.
Originally, Major League Baseball teams were primarily distinguished by the colours of their stockings. In 1882, the National League assigned different stocking colours to the member clubs; the league also assigned jersey and cap colours, but by player position rather than by club.
