Crane Creek is a stream in Sonoma County, California, United States which rises in the northern Sonoma Mountains. [2] This watercourse flows through Crane Canyon and the Crane Creek Regional Park [ 3 ] situated on the northwestern flank of Sonoma Mountain .
Crane Beach is a 1,234-acre (4.99 km 2) conservation and recreation property located in Ipswich, Massachusetts, immediately north of Cape Ann. It consists of a four-mile-long (6 km) sandy beachfront, dunes, and a maritime pitch pine forest. Five and a half miles of hiking trails through the dunes and forest are accessible from the beachfront.
The wilderness area is located on Rough Mountain and consists of 9,300 acres (38 km 2). Rough Mountain Wilderness ranges in elevation from 1,150 feet (351 m) to 2,842 feet (866 m) at Griffin Knob. The area has only one established hiking trail within its boundaries, and is characterized by steep slopes heading up to the ridgeline of Rough Mountain.
The Jericho trail is a linear trail with a trailhead and parking area at the trails southern terminus on Echo Lake Road and a connector trail leading to Connecticut Route 262 in the west. Bald Mountain, or Rondaxe Mountain, is a part of the Adirondack Mountains in the U.S. state of New York. [2] The trail leading up the mountain is a popular hike, likely due to its proximity to tourist towns (such as Old Forge, NY). The mountain is also home to the Rondaxe Mountain Fire Tower, [3] which contributes to the trail's popularity.
The Appalachian Trail crosses the Bear Mountain Bridge and follows NY Rt. 9D for a short distance before turning east and climbing the side of the mountain. It skirts the summit ridge, descends into the clove between Anthony's Nose and Mine Mountain, and from there into South Mountain Pass.
