Robert Jebediah "Granddad" Freeman (voiced by John Witherspoon), is the retired paternal grandfather and legal guardian of Huey and Riley, who lives in the peaceful suburb of Woodcrest. Huey is politically minded and critical while Riley remains uninterested, showing great affection for things, such as rap, violence, and "bling," that Huey finds culturally poisonous.
