@RCraig09: I don't find it in the current SVG 2 Editor's Draft, and it's certainly not in the SVG 1.1 spec. Please note: librsvg only recognises attributes (and other syntax) that are explicitly described in the SVG 1.1 spec, and until SVG 2 reaches the W3C Recommendation stage, this is unlikely to change.
Some other 1.2 features are cherry picked in, [18] but SVG 2 is not a superset of SVG tiny 1.2 in general. SVG 2 reached the Candidate Recommendation stage on 15 September 2016, [20] and revised versions were published on 7 August 2018 and 4 October 2018. [21] The latest draft was released on 08 March 2023. [22]
Xara Photo & Graphic Designer (and earlier product ArtWorks) was the first vector graphics software product to provide fully antialiased display, advanced gradient fill and transparency tools. The current version supports multi-page documents, and includes a capable integrated photo tool making it an option for any sort of DTP work.
Boxy SVG can also open SVG files authored with Inkscape and Adobe Illustrator, all software-specific elements and attributes will be dropped. The application is based on the Electron framework and thus supports the same subset of the SVG format as Chromium-based web browsers such as Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge , and Opera .
An alternative approach to full transparency is to use a clipping path. A clipping path is simply a shape or outline, that is used in conjunction with the other graphics. Everything inside the path is visible, and everything outside the path is invisible. The path is inherently vector, but can potentially be used to mask both vector and bitmap ...
SVG-edit is a cross-browser web-based, JavaScript-driven web tool, and has also been made into browser addons, such as an addon for Firefox, a Chrome extension, and a standalone widget for Opera. [1] There's also an experimental SVG editing extension on MediaWiki that uses SVG-edit. [2]
