@RCraig09: I don't find it in the current SVG 2 Editor's Draft, and it's certainly not in the SVG 1.1 spec. Please note: librsvg only recognises attributes (and other syntax) that are explicitly described in the SVG 1.1 spec, and until SVG 2 reaches the W3C Recommendation stage, this is unlikely to change.
Some other 1.2 features are cherry picked in, [18] but SVG 2 is not a superset of SVG tiny 1.2 in general. SVG 2 reached the Candidate Recommendation stage on 15 September 2016, [20] and revised versions were published on 7 August 2018 and 4 October 2018. [21] The latest draft was released on 08 March 2023. [22]
Boxy SVG can also open SVG files authored with Inkscape and Adobe Illustrator, all software-specific elements and attributes will be dropped. The application is based on the Electron framework and thus supports the same subset of the SVG format as Chromium-based web browsers such as Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, and Opera. A major use of partial transparency is to produce "soft edges" in graphics so that they blend into their background. [1] See also monochrome or with shades of gray and anti-aliasing . Partial transparency can also be used to make an image less prominent, such as a watermark or other logo; or to render something see-through, such as a ghostly ...
[1] A number of vector graphics editors exist for various platforms. Potential users of these editors will make a comparison of vector graphics editors based on factors such as the availability for the user's platform, the software license, the feature set, the merits of the user interface (UI) and the focus of the program.
PNG is a raster graphics format. PNG has advantages over SVG including smaller filesize (due to less-than-optimal server-side SVG-to-raster conversion), more widely supported and often easier and faster to make simple changes to things such as borders.
