The two stations share studios on Westlake Avenue in Seattle's Westlake neighborhood; KZJO's transmitter is located near the Capitol Hill section of Seattle. Channel 22 began broadcasting as KTZZ-TV in 1985. It was the third independent station in the Seattle market and the first commercial ultra high frequency (UHF) station.
