"Far Away Places" is an American popular song. It was written by Joan Whitney and Alex Kramer and published in 1948 . The recording by Bing Crosby & The Ken Darby Choir was recorded on November 25, 1948 [ 1 ] and released by Decca Records as catalog number 24532.
Their third single Sweet Goodbye was released from their Far Away Places album in September, achieving #1 on the CMC Top 30 Chart [19] and the national radio Country Tracks Chart [20] (#1 x 3 weeks). In October 2012, Jetty Road won their third consecutive Group/Duo of the Year Award at the Australian Independent Country Music Awards.
