BTS (Korean: 방탄소년단; RR: Bangtan Sonyeondan; lit. Bulletproof Boy Scouts), also known as the Bangtan Boys, is a South Korean boy band formed in 2010. The band consists of Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook, who co-write or co-produce much of their material.
BTS released two more singles in 2015, "Dope" and "Run"—the latter reached the top ten in South Korea. The band's fourth Japanese single, "For You", was released on June 17, 2015, and became its first number one hit in Japan, topping both the Oricon Singles Chart and Billboard Japan ' s Hot 100 .
