Joppa Road (/ ˈ dʒ ɒ p ə / JOP-ə) is a county highway in the U.S. state of Maryland. The highway extends 14.3 miles (23.0 km) from Maryland Route 25 (MD 25) in Brooklandville east to MD 7 near White Marsh. Joppa Road has three main segments separated by very short breaks on its course through central and eastern Baltimore County.
Maryland Route 542 (MD 542) is a state highway in the U.S. state of Maryland.Known for most of its length as Loch Raven Boulevard, the state highway runs 6.33 miles (10.19 km) from MD 147 in Baltimore north to Interstate 695 (I-695) and Cromwell Bridge Road near Towson.
Joppa Road heads east toward Towson; MD 25 heads south as a two-lane road from the west leg of the intersection and north as a short four-lane divided highway continuation of the expressway. The only intermediate junction on MD 25A is a direct ramp from MD 25 to southbound MD 25A at the southern point of where the two highways run parallel.
MD 146 begins at the Towson Roundabout, a five-leg, racetrack-shaped roundabout in the center of Towson. The roundabout also features MD 45 (York Road), which heads south toward Baltimore and northwest toward Lutherville, and Joppa Road, a county-maintained highway that runs west toward Brooklandville and east toward Parkville.
