The City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs is the official Los Angeles, California, USA arts council. The agency approves the design of structures built on or over City property and accepts works of art to be acquired by the City. The Commission meets on the first and third Friday mornings of each month.
Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti attended the opening and presented the show with a Certificate of Recognition from the City of Los Angeles for the many contributions LA Art Show has made over the years. The show has since returned to its original schedule with the 2022 edition in January at the LA Convention Center.
