Kawaki (Japanese: カワキ) is a fictional character in Ukyō Kodachi and Mikio Ikemoto's manga Boruto: Naruto Next Generations.Initially appearing in the flashforward in the series debut, Kawaki is a young man and later genetically an Ōtsutsuki who apparently would become the nemesis of the series' lead character, Boruto Uzumaki.
In the ensuing fight, Kawaki slashes out Boruto's right eye, and Sasuke arrives and tries to stop Kawaki, but the latter manages to escape with help of Momoshiki. Kawaki meets with Eida, who uses her Senrigan dojutsu known as the Omnipotence to rewrite everyone's memory: Kawaki and Boruto permanently swapped places.

Meanwhile, Team Denki goes to the harbor to commandeer a large ship while Sarada and Mitsuki rescue the captive miners and researchers. Boruto, Kawaki, and Buntan make it onto the mobile fortress.
Kawaki reappears at the Uzumaki residence, stating that his failure to kill Boruto means Momoshiki is still a threat. Determined to eliminate this danger, Kawaki decides to kill Boruto. Despite Naruto and Hinata's protests, Kawaki traps them in a timeless dimension, promising to free them and accept his own death once his task is complete.
Kawaki forces Boruto to use his Karma, because if they were to fight Code, Boruto would lose due to his refusal to rely on the Karma. Eida refuses to do anything else with Code, since she needs Ōtsutsuki to solve her problems, but Code cannot bring himself to attack her and seems to be completely enamored with her.
