Macedon (/ ˈ m æ s ə d ən / MASS-ə-dən) [2] is a town at the foot of Mount Macedon in the Macedon Ranges, between Melbourne and Bendigo in central Victoria. It is administered by the Shire of Macedon Ranges. Macedon's urban population was 2,926 at the 2021 census, up from 2,808 in the 2016 census.
