Locust Grove is a city in Henry County, Georgia, United States. The population was 8,947 in 2020. [4] Some unincorporated communities such as Luella and many rural areas surround Locust Grove, and those communities have Locust Grove postal addresses. Locust Grove has experienced a growth in population and in businesses coming into the area.
State Route 42 (SR 42) is a 115.3-mile-long (185.6 km) state highway that runs southeast-to-northwest through portions of Peach, Crawford, Monroe, Butts, Henry, Clayton, and DeKalb counties in the central and north-central parts of the U.S. state of Georgia.
The city of Locust Grove purchased the school building in 1983 and it serves as city hall. [2] [3] [4] The school's Academic Building was added to the National Register of Historic Places on September 4, 1986. It is also a contributing property to the NRHP It is also a contributing property to the NRHP's Locust Grove Historic District.
