United Supermarkets Arena (previously the United Spirit Arena) is a multipurpose arena on the campus of Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas.The 15,098-seat arena opened in 1999 and is home to the Texas Tech Red Raiders basketball, Texas Tech Lady Raiders basketball, and Texas Tech Red Raiders women's volleyball teams.
From 1988 through 2011, the ballpark was named Dan Law Field after Alabama native, Lubbock businessman, and former Texas Tech baseball player Dan Law (1932–2019), [3] who was instrumental in the renovation of the stadium. [4] Law played for the Red Raider football team from 1955 to 1956 and baseball from 1956 to 1957. [5]

Clifford B. and Audrey Jones Stadium opened 77 years ago on November 29, 1947, with a seating capacity of 27,000. It was named after Clifford B. Jones, Texas Tech's third president (1939–1944), and his wife, Audrey, who donated $100,000 (equivalent to $1.41 million in 2024 [5]) towards its construction. [10]

The Masked Rider is the primary mascot of Texas Tech University.It is the oldest of the university's mascots still in existence today. Originally called "Ghost Rider", it was an unofficial mascot appearing in a few games in 1936 and then became the official mascot with the 1954 Gator Bowl.
