Shenango Township is a township in Lawrence County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 7,133 at the 2020 census, [ 4 ] a decline from the figure of 7,479 tabulated in 2010. [ 5 ] Shenango Township is situated between the city of New Castle to the north and the borough of Ellwood City to the south.
It is bordered to the west by the city of Erie, to the north by Lawrence Park Township, and to the east and south by Harborcreek Township. According to the United States Census Bureau, the borough has a total area of 0.53 square miles (1.37 km 2), all land. [4] Fourmile Creek, a tributary of Lake Erie, forms the eastern border of the borough.
