You'll need cornered 2x4 posts for legs. 2x4 lower band/box is also sufficient and will give you more vertical space inside than using 2x6 at the bottom.

The kole and tomini, as well as other bristletooths can work in a 90. If I wanted to try a tang gang in a 90g, I'd do something like a scopas, kole, and tomini. Even a 90 may eventually too small for the scopas, but they do grow slow and seem to be a bit more of a cruiser vs end to end open swimmer. Apr 7, 2019. #5.

New Member. On my build thread for my 90-gallon peaceful reef, I just posted pictures and a video of my first preliminary aquascape for my 90-gallon display tank. Critiques and advice would be greatly appreciated, as I am considering gluing sections and starting them cycling until I can set up my reef system.

    www.reef2reef.com/threads/75-gallon-vs-90-gallon.807119

The only difference between the 2 tanks is the depth... the other parameters are the same. All that extra space above the rocks isn't totally used by fish since they all stay near the rocks. The fish you can keep in a 90g aren't any different from the fish you can keep in a 75g tank. , , and 1 other person. Feb 24, 2021.

I know anything beyond 24 inches tall can become a hassle to clean, but I was hoping you guys could give me some pros and cons to getting a tank that size that I haven't already considered.

If you are looking for the weight load there is more involved. Factor in the stand, tank, rock, substrate, water, sump, livestock, filtration, etc. and divide by the foot print of the tank. I would round to 1800 pounds in total (going overboard with all estimations) dividing by 8 as the footprint sf would give you a load of 225 lbs per square foot.

  10. 90 gallon aquarium stand build | Reef2Reef

    www.reef2reef.com/threads/90-gallon-aquarium-stand-build.394657

I purchased a short 90 gallon aquarium stand a while back without thinking that I would have a difficult time finding a protein skimmer for it that would fit in the stand. This is my first aquarium with a sump. The aquariums I have now, a 10 gallon and 28 gallon use HOB filters, so I am new to sump filtering.
