Peterson 6.5CM SRP. Berger 140gr Hybrid. 40.3 (low) or 41.2 (high) grains H4350, 2727 / 2796 fps, ES 5 (10 shots), 24 (5 shots) respectively. CCI 450 (small rifle magnum) Previously, I loaded Hornady and Prime (Norma) brass. Interestingly, I found low and high nodes at exactly the same powder weights. Hornady 6.5CM.
With a 20” Tikka 6.5 Creedmoor and Hornady brass loaded with a 160 gr Hornady RN over 10.5 gr of Trail Boss and a WLR primer at 2.75” OAL, I got 1030 FPS. That’s the load I’m going with as. 11.5 gr was 1114 fps, 11.0 gr was 1075 fps, and 10.0 gr was 966 fps. Good & stable in a 1:8 twist 20”. /David.
0. Jul 14, 2020. #1. Good afternoon. I am new to snipers hide and I wanted to share a successful 6.5 blend that has given me consistent results. I have chosen to use the Hornady 143gr .264 (6.5mm) ELD-X projectile. I switched to the ELD-X when the A-Max line was being discontinued due to melting tip issues at prolonged supersonic speed.
I couldn't find very much online regarding results of testing the new Hornady 100gr ELD-VT. I just so happen to have recently come into possession of a 6.5 Creedmoor. So I thought I would give it a shot. My goal was a sub moa load with good (approaching single digits or better) SD. The Rifle is a ARC Nucleus with a PVA 26" prefit. Sig LRP brass.
I finally found some H4350. I'd much appreciate you all sharing load data for H4350. I have a Savage Stealth 10BA, 6.5 Creedmoor I'm using Nosler brass, CCI primer, Hornaday 140 gr ELD M. OAL is 2.862 in my rifle. I currently have been using H100V @ 2647 fps 40g with the above and have been getting about 0.75" group at 100 yds with my shaky hold.
328. St. Augustine, FL. Feb 10, 2019. #2. Feb 10, 2019. #2. I shoot 41.4g of H4350 and get 2600-2615 in my 18". I would have never tried the bullet, but a guy let me shoot his Black Hills 143s and they grouped very good in my rifle. I pretty much just replicated the BH load as close as I could.
According to Hornadys Load data, 46.8 grains will give me a velocity of 2950fps, with a 24 inch barrel, mine is 22", so I expect a bit less in the Velocity. Once I am able to get to the range and test these groups I will posts pics and update this post. Last edited: Mar 29, 2024.
Nov 12, 2022. #10. I'm using 43.5gr of N555 with Lapua SRP (CCI #400), Lapua Scenar-L 136gr, COAL 2.854, with great results. I've shots multiple 0.7moa group at 300 meters with a Tikka T3x CTR, factory barrel. Basically, I love the powder, it's very clean and got greats results at very varying temperatures.
6.5 Creedmoor Vortex Razor AMG ARC 30 MOA Mount Atlas Bipod The rest of the load data is included on each target attached, but basics are as follows: Hornady Brass - once fired Reloader 17 CCI BR-2 Full length sized Trimmed to 1.915" Seated to .020" from lands Length to Ogive: 2.225" Overall Length: about 2.858"
Apr 4, 2019. #1. Hi, new to the sight. I have a Tikka 6.5 Creedmoor T3x TAC A1 and was wondering if anyone has used the Alliant RL16 powder. I am shooting Hornady ELD Match 130gn 300 yards at 2" targets and we have our first match coming up. I have used H4350, RL 15 and RL 17. I am not looking for the highest velocity but of course accuracy.
