John W. Mannion (born July 8, 1968) [1] is an American educator and politician who has served as the U.S. representative from New York's 22nd congressional district since 2025. He previously served as a state senator from the 50th district between 2020 and 2024.

New York's 22nd congressional district is a congressional district for the United States House of Representatives currently represented by Democratic John Mannion.Significant cities in the district include Syracuse and Utica; with the newest district boundaries approved by the New York State Legislature, the district also includes Auburn. The District was inspired by the real-life experience of former New York City Deputy Police Commissioner Jack Maple. [1] [2] Along with Police Commissioner William Bratton, he had reorganized the NYPD, and one of the achievements was the CompStat program (comparative statistics), which has its own major role in the TV series.
Incumbent Democrat John Mannion announced his candidacy for the 22nd congressional district in the upcoming House of Representatives elections. Fellow Democrat Chris Ryan from Onondaga County won his seat.
