The Patriot Athletic Conference (PAC-12) was an Ohio high school athletic league made up of 12 schools from around the Cleveland area that existed from 2005-2006 to the 2018-2019 school year. All member schools were also members of the Ohio High School Athletic Association .
Originally a 12-school conference encompassing all Perry County schools, the league settled into a stable, nine school league as the independent schools moved to the Muskingum Valley League. [5] This was abruptly changed in 1960, as consolidation dropped the number from nine to two new consolidated schools.
The Mid-Ohio Conference was founded in 1953 and remained a fairly stable league until 1977, when three teams left to join the Central Buckeye League. The league lasted as an eight-team league for much of the rest of their existence until 1990, when the four Morrow County schools left to join the newly formed Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference.

In January 2013, Northwest High School (Lawrence Township) and Orrville High School applied for membership in the PAC-8. [4] Both were turned down after a league discussion. In February 2015, both Indian Valley and Tusky Valley announced that they would leave the PAC-8 in the 2016-17 school year to join the Inter-Valley Conference. [5]
