"Riptide" is a song by Australian singer-songwriter Vance Joy. It was first released as a track on his debut EP God Loves You When You're Dancing (2013), serving as its second single, and is also featured on his debut studio album, Dream Your Life Away (2014). The song was written by Joy, who also produced it with drummer Edwin White.
James Gabriel Keogh (born 1 December 1987), known professionally as Vance Joy, is an Australian singer-songwriter and former Australian rules footballer. Vance Joy is also the first Triple J Unearthed artist to place first in the Hottest 100. Beating the second place finishes by Killing Heidi ( 1999 ), Grinspoon ( 2002 ), Missy Higgins ( 2004 ), Art vs. Science ( 2009 ) and Little Red ( 2010 ).
