In Baby Wants Spinach (1950) Olive Oyl asks Popeye to watch her “cousin Swee’Pea.” (In the King Features cartoons of the early 1960s, it is implied that Swee'Pea is Popeye's nephew). From 1936–1938 Mae Questel provided the voice for Swee'Pea which was then taken over by voice actress Margie Hines from 1938 to 1943.
The nephews are unhappy with the short story but are sent to bed anyway. The nephews are not so tired and eventually start playing music with various objects (such as mattress springs, suspenders, medicine bottles, etc.), and Popeye eventually hears the racket and destroys the radio trying to find what's causing the noise.
Released was a stamped, numbered, and signed Limited Edition lithograph, an edition size of 395. The lithograph shows Popeye slipping a lifesaver-ring onto Olive's finger along with Nana Oyl, Alice the Goon, Swee'Pea (cradled in Popeye's free arm), Wimpy, Granny, Eugene the Jeep, and Brutus (holding a large cauldron of steaming, cooked rice).
