A soda geyser is a physical reaction between a carbonated beverage, usually Diet Coke, and Mentos mints that causes the beverage to be expelled from its container. Unfortunately, all of the mentos packets that I could get my hands on were glazed in some way, and whilst there was a reaction, it was not of the usual violence level, probably due to reduced surface area.
