Harding University High School is located at 2001 Alleghany Street, in Charlotte, North Carolina. It was established as a Math, Science, and Technology school in 1992, and added an International Baccalaureate to its program in 1995. The motto of the school has changed several times. It is currently: "Where Every Student Matters."
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools (abbreviated CMS) is a local education agency headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina and is the public school system for Mecklenburg County. With over 147,000 students enrolled, it is the second-largest school district in North Carolina and the eighteenth-largest in the nation. [ 2 ]
The school has a student body of 1,800–2,000 students, housed in a 310,000-square-foot (29,000 m 2) building. [citation needed] Berry Academy is the only school in Mecklenburg County to offer AP Earth/Environmental course to freshman students. It is recognized as one of the few full magnet high schools in CMS.

Olympic High School is located in Charlotte, North Carolina, and is a high school in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools (CMS) system. Olympic opened in the fall of 1966, in what was then the rural outskirts of Charlotte. It joined the Coalition of Essential Schools in 2005 [2] and was split into five smaller, theme-based schools.
West Charlotte High School was founded in 1938. The original campus became Northwest School of the Arts. It moved to its current location in 1954. [2] West Charlotte is one of the few high schools still in existence whose students were African American during the era of segregation. [3]
In October 2020, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School board decided to name the school after Julius L. Chambers, who was a famous lawyer, civil rights leader, and educator from North Carolina. [5] [6] The school officially changed its name in a ceremony on July 14, 2021. [7]
