The Mall of Memphis was a shopping mall in Memphis, Tennessee, containing 885,627 sq ft (82,277.4 m 2) of retail space and 5,564 parking spaces. The mall opened October 7, 1981, closed on December 24, 2003, and was demolished in 2004. Among other things, the mall was home to the Ice Chalet, Memphis's only public ice rink.
Debris from the mall, in the form of insulating foam, was scattered all over the Memphis area, following the storm path northeastward at least 15 miles (24 km) to the Wolfchase area. World Overcomers Ministries eventually purchased the mall from its former owners, signaling their intent to reopen Hickory Ridge.
In November 2016, the City of Memphis officially purchased the Raleigh Springs Mall property, making way for a complete demolition and re-development of the space into a civic center. [8] The City of Memphis plans to spend approximately $32 million in capital to create a civic plaza on the space once occupied by the Raleigh Springs Mall.

Southland Mall is a regional shopping mall in the Whitehaven neighborhood of South Memphis, Tennessee. It was built in 1966, becoming the first enclosed mall in the Mid-South. It is managed and owned by Namdar Realty Group. There are over 60 stores. There are two vacant anchors last occupied by Macy's and Sears.
