The J. B. Williams Co. Historic District encompasses a historic 19th-century factory complex and related family housing in Glastonbury, Connecticut.Located on and around Hubbard, Williams, and Willieb Streets, the area includes a mid-19th century frame factory as well as later brick buildings, and houses belonging to its owners, members of the Williams family.
The J. Roy Bond House, at 317 College St. in Elizabethtown, Kentucky, is a historic Craftsman-style house built in 1914. [2] It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988. [1] It is a two-story frame and stucco house with a jerkinhead-roofed one-story front porch.
The company became one of the nation's leading manufacturers of knives, its wares displayed at various world fairs between 1876 and 1901. The Catlins sold the company in 1919. Catlin's daughter married Albert Turner, the first secretary of the Connecticut Park and Forest Commission. She bequested the house to the state upon her death in 1941. [3]
