The Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) is the main examination to qualify students for admission into secondary and vocational schools in Ghana, [1] and Nigeria. [2] [3] It is written after three years of junior secondary education. [4] It is administered by the Ghana Education Service under the Ministry of Education.

Alongside the students from the SOS Children's Villages, the school also educates top students who apply from Ghana, and neighboring countries. In total, the school has about 360 students representing 24 nationalities with nearly 40% of students coming from the SOS Children's Villages.
It is a day only mixed educational facility in Ghana delivering English National Curriculum.
