Since the 1920s, the "Thaxted" melody has been widely used, both as part of "I Vow to Thee, My Country", as an instrumental, and with other lyrics, both religious and secular. Other hymns that use the melody include "O God beyond all praising" [ 28 ] and "We Praise You and Acknowledge You" with lyrics by the Rev. Stephen P. Starke.
