The Albany Pump Station, originally the Quackenbush Pumping Station of the Albany Water Works, is located in Quackenbush Square on Broadway in the city of Albany, New York, United States. It is a large brick building constructed in the 1870s and expanded later in the century.
Quackenbush House is a historic building in Albany, New York. It is a house with a double-pitched gable roof that was built in about 1736. [ 2 ] It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972.
One former government building, the city's Quackenbush Pumping Station, is now the Albany Pump Station brewpub. [ 49 ] Among the contributing properties to the downtown historic district are five of the listed commercial buildings, three purpose-built and two adapted, as well as the SUNY system administration building.
The Irish American Heritage Museum is located at 21 Quackenbush Square in downtown Albany. Parking is available on the street and in parking lots behind the museum. The museum is open Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 11 am to 4 pm, Saturday and Sunday from 12 noon to 4 pm, and closed on Monday and Tuesday.
