The Emergency Medical Services Authority (EMSA) is Oklahoma's largest provider of pre-hospital emergency medical care. EMSA provides ambulance service to more than 1.6 million residents in central and northeast Oklahoma. EMSA was established in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1977 and later expanded to include Bixby, Jenks and Sand Springs in Oklahoma.
The use of the terms "EMT-Intermediate/85" and "EMT-Intermediate/99" denotes use of the NHTSA EMT-Intermediate 1985 curriculum and the EMT-Intermediate 1999 curriculum respectively. In addition, not all states use the "EMT" prefix for all levels (e.g. Texas uses EMT-Paramedic and Licensed Paramedic).
Stillwater is located in districts 33 and 34 of the Oklahoma State House of Representatives and is represented by Republican John Talley [18] in the 33rd district and Democrat Trish Ranson in the 34th district; as of July 2022 [19] In the Oklahoma State Senate, Stillwater is in the 21st district and is represented by Republican Tom Dugger.

Stillwater then went without commercial air service until 1980. Metro Airlines began serving Stillwater in 1980 with flights to Oklahoma City using de Havilland Canada DHC-6 Twin Otters. Service continued until 1985 when Exec Express, Inc. took over servicing Stillwater with flights to Tulsa, using Piper PA-31 Navajo commuter planes.
