Trempealeau County (/ ˈ t r ɛ m p ə l oʊ / TREM-pə-loh) [1] is a county in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. As of the 2020 census , the population was 30,760. [ 2 ] Its county seat is Whitehall .
In 2017, Wisconsin's Supreme Court created a new business court, the Commercial Docket Pilot Project, [4] located in the Waukesha County Circuit Court and the Eighth Judicial Administrative District. [5] On April 1, 2019, the Supreme Court expanded the Commercial Docket's geographic jurisdiction to encompass the entire state. [6]
Albert L. "Bud" Twesme (May 4, 1914 – June 21, 1995) was an American lawyer and judge from Trempealeau County, Wisconsin.He was county judge of Trempealeau County for 29 years, and was then the first chief judge of the 7th district of Wisconsin circuit courts, serving from 1978 until his retirement in 1983.
