The earliest concepts for what would eventually become Dusk were conceived in the mid-2000s by lead developer David Szymanski. At the time, Szymanski only had access to computers with low-end hardware, which precluded him from playing recent video game releases; instead, he played older first-person shooters such as Half-Life and Doom.
The game takes place in Los Angeles in December 1980, one year after the events of the previous game. In a collaboration, an addition to the soundtrack of Metal: Hellsinger was made in conjunction with the game DUSK. Nine tracks from the original Soundtrack, composed by Andrew Hulshult, were added into the game. [13] In game, the tracks from DUSK are listed together with the tracks from "Essential Hits DLC" and also don't use the multiplier system.
In July 2018, Bethesda announced that a new in-game soundtrack for Quake Champions had been made by "the sweet metal Viking Andrew Hulshult." [ 12 ] The update went live a few weeks later.
