The university has 23 faculties and three art academies with approximately 4,000 teaching and research staff, assisted by approximately 2,000 technical and administrative staff. The University of Ljubljana offers programs in the humanities, sciences, and technology, as well as in medicine, dentistry, and veterinary science.
The School of Economics and Business (UL SEB) (Slovene: Ekonomska fakulteta Univerze v Ljubljani), part of the University of Ljubljana, has been a pioneer in business education since its establishment in 1946. It was one of the first faculties in the country to establish new internationally comparable Bologna 3+2 programs in 2005.
The Faculty of Public Administration is one of the youngest members of the University of Ljubljana as a full faculty, but is actually an institution with a long tradition. In 1956, the School of Public Administration was established; in 1995, it was transformed into the University School of Public Administration.
Already in 1970, the college became a member of the University of Ljubljana (the 10th member of the University [9]: 12 ), and was at the same time reorganized into the Faculty of Sociology, Political Science and Journalism (Fakulteta za sociologijo, politične vede in novinarstvo; FSPVN).
