Liverpool is a lakeside village in Onondaga County, New York, United States. As of the 2020 census, the population was 2,242. [2] The name was adopted from the city of Liverpool in the United Kingdom. [3] The village is on Onondaga Lake, in the western part of the town of Salina and is northwest of Syracuse, of which it is a suburb.
Howard Johnson's was the largest restaurant chain in the U.S. throughout the 1960s and 1970s, with more than 1,000 combined company-owned and franchised outlets. [2] Today, the chain is defunct—after dwindling down to one location, the last Howard Johnson's restaurant (in Lake George, New York) closed in 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. [3]
In 2006, the restaurant moved to a location in the Bloomberg Tower building at One Beacon Court (151 East 58th Street) and operated as Le Cirque New York at One Beacon Court. [ 12 ] [ 13 ] [ 14 ] It comprised 16,000 square feet (1,500 square meters) and was designed by interior designer Adam Tihany [ 15 ] and architect Costas Kondylis.
The 2006 edition was the first edition of the Michelin Guide to New York City to be published. It was the first time that Michelin published a Red Guide for a region outside Europe. [4] In the 2020 edition, the Guide began to include restaurants outside the city's five boroughs, adding Westchester County restaurants to its listing. [5]
The Red Apple Rest in March 2013, seven years after the place was abandoned. The building is now fenced off. The Red Apple Rest was a cafeteria-style restaurant on New York State Route 17, in the Southfields section of Tuxedo, New York. [1]
