A bunkhouse is a barracks-like building that historically was used to house working cowboys on ranches, or loggers in a logging camp [1] in North America.As most cowboys were young single men, the standard bunkhouse was a large open room with narrow beds or cots for each individual and little privacy.
The bunkhouse is the last surviving structure of this era at this location, near the southern end of Waterton Lake. Its design has been attributed to National Park Service landscape architect Thomas Chalmers Vint. [2] The site is at the southern end of Waterton Lake, near the modern Goat Haunt Ranger Station.
