PT Batik Air Indonesia, [3] operating as Batik Air, is an Indonesian scheduled airline headquartered at Soekarno–Hatta International Airport in Jakarta. 4 April: Batik Air Flight 7703 – While taking off from Halim Perdanakusuma Airport in Jakarta, the Boeing 737-800's left wingtip collided with a towed (across the active runway) TransNusa Air Services ATR 42-600. The wingtip sliced off the ATR 42's left wing and vertical stabilizer, destroying it. The Boeing's left wing then caught fire.
