This is a list of films produced by the Indian Hindi-language film industry, popularly known Bollywood, based in Mumbai ordered by year and decade of release. Although "Bollywood" films are generally listed under the Hindi language, most are in Hindustani and in Hindi with partial Bhojpuri, Punjabi, Urdu and occasionally other languages.
The music for the film was composed by Late Pandit Amarnath, [2] [5] with lyrics penned by Qamar Jalalabadi, Aziz Kashmiri. [5] The soundtrack consists of eleven songs, featuring vocals by Noor Jehan, G. M. Durrani, Zohrabai Ambalewali, and Shamshad Begum. There was a dance by Cuckoo who played a wedding dancer in an uncredited role.
Shehnai is a 1947 Indian Bollywood film directed by P. L. Santoshi, starring Kishore Kumar (Not the singer), Indumati, Radhakrishan, V.H. Desai and Rehana. It was the fifth highest grossing Indian film of 1947. [1] Santoshi went on make the classic, Barsaat Ki Raat (1960) starring Madhubala and Bharat Bhushan.
