The Space City Home Network is an American regional sports network owned jointly by the Houston Rockets and Houston Astros.Headquartered in Houston, Texas, the network broadcasts regional coverage of sports events throughout Southeast Texas, mainly focusing on professional sports teams based in Greater Houston, namely the Astros and Rockets, as well as local college teams.
The channel, which operated out of facilities based in downtown Houston, Texas, originally began in April 2005 as a sub-feed of sister network Fox Sports Southwest and became a separate 24-hour channel on January 12, 2009.
It is owned and operated by TelevisaUnivision alongside Rosenberg-licensed Univision station KXLN-DT (channel 45). The two stations share studios near the Southwest Freeway (adjacent to the I-610 / I-69 interchange) on Houston's southwest side; KFTH's transmitter is located near Missouri City , in unincorporated northeastern Fort Bend County .
