Blue Lagoon Water Park The water park's slides Blue Lagoon Water Park is an indoor waterpark near Canaston Bridge , Narberth in Pembrokeshire , Wales in the Bluestone National Park Resort . [ 1 ] [ 2 ] [ 3 ] It opened in 2008.
The resort's accommodation consists of 344 timber lodges, as well as cottages and studio apartments set in 500 acres (2.0 km 2).This area includes the Blue Lagoon indoor water park (not to be confused with the nearby Blue Lagoon former quarry of Abereiddy), Steep Ravine outdoor activity area, an indoor playground and a medieval themed activity area.
The Blue Lagoon is 25m deep, according to a nearby Pembrokeshire National Park information board. Despite the name, the water is always a distinct greenish hue, owing to the mineral content within the quarry. The lagoon is a favourite for adventure groups practising coasteering, and also diving when the weather is bad. [3]
Blue Lagoon opened in 1983 along with Village Green. The area could be accessed via Gold Rush Country and Rocky Hollow. The Dreamworld Studios was located next to the area.
