The Loop 250 designation was used again as Spur 250 on August 27, 1959 as a connector route between Interstate 45 and U.S. Route 75 in Texas near Mossy Grove. This route was cancelled on October 8, 1965 with the mileage being transferred to FM 2989. [3] The current Loop 250 was designated on August 31, 1977.
Construction on Segment 3B began on January 21, 2011, [14] and the segment opened to traffic on March 28, 2013, completing the 26-mile (42 km) loop from I-20 to SH 110. On February 28, 2013, the Texas Transportation Commission voted to transfer ownership and maintenance of Loop 49 from TxDOT to the NET RMA. [15]
Loop 281 begins at a partial cloverleaf interchange with I-20/US 259/SH 322 in southern Longview; the highway continues south past I-20/US 259 as SH 322. The highway travels in a slight northwest direction along Estes Parkway for approximately 0.5 miles (0.80 km) before turning to the west, with Estes Parkway continuing north towards LeTourneau University.
