The Incredible Hulk is an ongoing comic book series featuring the Marvel Comics superhero the Hulk and his alter ego Dr. Bruce Banner. First published in May 1962, the series ran for six issues before it was canceled in March 1963, and the Hulk character began appearing in Tales to Astonish .

Also in 1998, Marvel relaunched The Rampaging Hulk as a standard comic book rather than as a comics magazine. [4] The Incredible Hulk was again cancelled with issue #474 of its second volume in March 1999 and was replaced with a new series, Hulk the following month, with returning writer Byrne and art by Ron Garney.
Keown worked on Hulk with writer Peter David, creating one of the more memorable runs of the book. David has named Keown one of the three artists whose art has mostly closely matched the visuals he conceived when writing a comic book scripts (the others being George Pérez and Leonard Kirk ).
"Planet Hulk" is a Marvel Comics storyline that ran primarily through issues of The Incredible Hulk starting in 2006. Written by Greg Pak , it dealt with the Marvel heroes' decision to send the Hulk away, his acclimation to and conquest of the planet where he landed, Sakaar , and his efforts to return to Earth to take his revenge.
In The Incredible Hulk #232 (February 1979), it is revealed that Jim Wilson is the nephew of Sam Wilson, the superhero Falcon. Though this revelation occurred when Roger Stern was writing the series, Stern says that earlier Incredible Hulk writer Len Wein came up with the idea that they were related and did not address it during his run. The series also retained from the comic book "Bruce Banner" as the name of the Hulk's human identity (rather than "David Banner" as in the live-action series). This was the second Hulk animated series: in 1966, the Hulk appeared in 13 seven-minute segments as part of TV's The Marvel Super Heroes. [2]
