The Lake Range is a mountain range located in western Nevada in the United States. It is entirely in Washoe County , and the southern two-thirds are in the Pyramid Lake Indian Reservation . The range runs north-south for approximately 36 miles (58 km) and a width of generally less than 8 mi (13 km).
Lahontan State Recreation Area is a public recreation area surrounding Lake Lahontan, a 17-mile-long (27 km) impoundment of the Carson River, [4] located approximately 18 miles (29 km) west of Fallon, Nevada. [5] The reservoir features 69 miles (111 km) of shoreline and 11,200 acres (4,500 ha) of water when full. [6]

Walker River State Recreation Area is a 12,300-acre (5,000 ha) state park unit of Nevada along the East Walker River near the city of Yerington. The park is one of Nevada's largest and newest state park units, dedicated by Governor Brian Sandoval on September 18, 2018.
