They automatically send the 4 colleges your scores before you even see them! So my experience has been that none of the schools any student has ever "sent" scores to as part of the "free scores" with the test had the scores or at least accepted that sending. The student always has to pay to send them again if accepted and trying to prove the score.
Hey y’all! So I have taken the ACT two times. These were my scores: July ACT Math: 28 Science: 28 English: 35 Reading: 34 Composite: 31. September ACT: Math: 31 Science: 35 English: 32 Reading: 36 Composite: 34. My superscore is also a 34, and is made up of the september scores for math, science and reading, but my english score is from July.

So it depends on the college.... I don’t believe that it “looks better” to send an official score report. If it did, colleges would not allow you to self-report scores.

You go to my ACT, go to the score you want to send, and click send score. Then you put in National Merit Scholarship Corporation for who you want to send it to (ACT code is 7984) and pay the money. Submit for what? If submitting as a semi-finalist as a supporting score, the instructions should be in your SF packet.
