Microsoft has made vast improvements to where passwords are stored and how they can be accessed across devices. Passwords used to be stored in the browsers password manager which could have been accessed via the browser’s settings.
In Firefox it's two clicks - hamburger-menu>Passwords. In Chrome it's two clicks - Profile toolbar button>Passwords button. In Edge it's More...>Settings>Profile>Passwords. Very irritating. Should be a way to get there in one or two clicks. 2 Likes. A1-A1.
Sync is not available due to managed browser settings, however autofill is on and was working until an update over the weekend. The user has another laptop with the same Edge profile and user data that is still autofilling forms with username and password. I exported the passwords to csv and took a copy of the User Data folder in C:\users ...
Even when the box to not challenge for 90 days has been selected before logging in, once the browser is closed out the information has to be reentered. This has not been an issue until recently. Most usernames and passwords are still saved once the browser is closed. What settings on my PC do I need to change?
So far I have tried the following: - turning the sync on and off. - re-sync. - login and logout. - login into a different account. - reinstalling the apps. - switching the primary password manager from Android settings between Edge, Authenticator, and none.

After latest updates, Edge doesn't remember or fill in saved passwords, even though it's set to do so.It doesn't work on either desktop or my tablet.
Since Edge will no longer enter passwords for you automatically, you'll have to do it manually. If you don't remember all your passwords, you could try exporting them: Open the page edge://settings/passwords or click ⋯ (Settings and more) > Settings and select Passwords under Your profile.
If both these are true you might be able to get your synced passwords by logging out and then back into edge browser which may return the synced data back. Open Microsoft Edge. Click on your profile image in the right-hand corner. Click Manage profile settings. Click Sign Out.
