In Bellagio we stopped at Enoteca Cava Turacciolo from Rick's book for a wine tasting. We had a nice meat and cheese tray with the tasting in a old vautled stone room. Stop by there when you are in town. Ristorante la Vista at the Albergo Milano in Varenna was great. They have outdoor seats with a amazing lake view. One of my favorite meals was ...

We have gone to Bellagio four times, once for two weeks. Our two favorites have stars! Some favorites are: *Ristorante Alle Darsene di Loppia- a short walk south of town center, always good Bilacus- *Terrazza Barchetta- a favorite La Punta- on northern point of town, beautiful views. Walk down there even just for a drink..
Jill, given you have no responses, there are numerous nice restaurants in Bellagio. I don't normally recommend restaurants, but we enjoyed a number of days in Bellagio in 2014 and by far the best food and service we received was at La Fontana restaurant. for a 'normal' (eg: not high end) dinning experience.
Yes In my Knowledge there is one names Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni Bellagio 'is oldest one and only 5 star luxury hotel in Bellagio. Some of the many best restaurants in Lake Como are: Gatto Nero, II Glicine, Villa D'Este, Ristorante Navedano, Crotto Platani .
Here is also was one of our favorite spots for a meal as the views are spectacular. Throughout Bellagio, are the salitas which are the streets that transport you from one level to the next-- each filled with shops, cafes, restaurants. The town is not overwhelming and its very easy to manuevour through in a day at a leisurely pace.
In Bellagio avoid the restaurants right on the waterfront as they are not the best food .... travel up hill a little for better options. If you like to hike consider walking over to visit I think its Pescallo cute little town less tourists but a fun walk.
My wife and I stayed in Varenna at the Hotel Olivido in the Villa with a terrace and a view of the Ferry Boats coming and going which you will ride to Bellagio,Como and other sights around the lake.Lots of good restaurants in the area including the hotel Olivido and places to see like Villa Carlotta and Menagio.
Bellagio and Varenna are quite small, and don't have that many restaurants. And, these towns are heavily dominated by tourism. So, every restaurant there has been "discovered." That doesn't mean that they can't be good - but it isn't like a good restaurant in, say, Buffalo or Kansas City, that only locals know about and frequent.
There are lots of choices of good restaurants in Menaggio, even just in the same plaza. You can’t possibly try them all unless you stay a long time. Bellagio may have a bit more since it’s the most popular tourist town, but not much more. Varenna is much smaller than the other two so obviously can’t have the same number of choices as ...
