Re: What can a torrents not to start download? by NXZ » Sat Feb 17, 2024 12:53 pm. Try resetting your settings by following these steps: 1- Close qBittorrent. 2- Go to: C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\qBittorrent. 3- Delete this file: qBittorrent. 4- Start qBittorrent.

Check your router settings and ensure that the port used by qBittorrent is forwarded correctly. Torrent Health: Sometimes, the number of seeders and leechers can be misleading. A torrent might have seeders, but they may not be sharing the file actively. Try downloading a torrent known to have a high number of active seeders to test this.
If I turn off the vpn there is no change but if I delete the torrent file, turn off the vpn and add the torrent file it will start downloading. This started when my software locked last week. I think I was pausing or deleting torrents from my list at the time. After relaunching the software the torrents would no longer download with the vpn on.

You'll want to navigate to where the file/directory is saved to and then hit "OK". Once back in the main screen, right click that same torrent again and hit "Force Check".

Post by ciaobaby » Mon Jan 27, 2014 10:52 pm To avoid confusion with everything being called "torrent", the .torrent file is refered to as "[the] metadata", the downloaded content as "[the] payload" and the software ie; qBitTorrent, uTorrent, Vuze etc is just called '[the]|[a] client'.

Remove torrents after download completed. by scott » Sun Jun 30, 2019 3:08 am. I have searched this forum, Internet, and Settings and I do not see an option to remove torrents once they're downloaded. I see the option to exit QBT or hibernate once downloads are complete, but nothing to remove the torrent files.
So, maybe 25-40 global upload slots and limiting connections per torrent to 30-45 (+5 more than upload slot limit). If you used super seeding, keep global upload slots slightly lower -- like 25-30 and allow 50-100 peer connections per torrent. Super seeding should only be considered if the number of seeds is likely to be 5 or less.
