Faculty building at Ongkharak Campus. The project to set up the Faculty of Medicine, Srinakharinwirot University was planned since 1980 under the prime ministership of Prem Tinsulanonda and the faculty was officially set up on 13 June 1985, in a partnership with Bangkok Metropolitan Administration.
The hospital serves as a teaching hospital for the Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Nursing, and Faculty of Physical Therapy of Srinakharinwirot University. It is one of the two teaching hospitals of Srinakharinwirot University, the other being the Panyananthaphikkhu Chonprathan Medical Center in Nonthaburi Province.
The oldest dedicated teacher-training schools in Thailand are the Prasarnmit and Patumwan Demonstration Schools of Srinakharinwirot University, which opened in 1953 and 1954, respectively. Many more schools have since been created or re-purposed, and there are now sixty-four demonstration schools in the country.

Nakhon Nayok (Thai: นครนายก, pronounced [ná(ʔ).kʰɔ̄ːn nāː.jók]) is one of the central provinces (changwat) of Thailand, established by the Act Establishing Changwat Samut Prakan, Changwat Nonthaburi, Changwat Samut Sakhon, and Changwat Nakhon Nayok, Buddhist Era 2489 (1946), which came into force on 9 May 1946.
Ongkharak (Thai: องครักษ์, pronounced [ʔōŋ.kʰā.rák]) is a district in the western part of Nakhon Nayok province, central Thailand. Once King Chulalongkorn (Rama V) visited Mueang Nakhon Nayok. When he and his company arrived in the area of Ongkharak District, one of the royal guard fell ill and died.
