Mark 4 is the fourth chapter of the Gospel of Mark in the New Testament of the Christian Bible. It tells the parable of the Sower , with its explanation, and the parable of the Mustard Seed . Both of these parables are paralleled in Matthew and Luke , but this chapter also has a parable unique to Mark, the Seed Growing Secretly .
Mark 15:24, Luke 23:33, John 19:18, Matthew 27:35 all share a succinct summary of the crucifixion, in that they all say, "They crucified Him". Mark and John give an account of the time of Jesus' death ("The third hour" in Mark 15:25 , and the "sixth hour" in John 19:14–15 ), whereas Luke , and Matthew himself do not.
In the King James Version of the Bible, the text reads: And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.
