PAVE PAWS (PAVE Phased Array Warning System) is a complex Cold War early warning radar and computer system developed in 1980 to "detect and characterize a sea-launched ballistic missile attack against the United States". [1]

Cobra Judy was the Airforce code name for the afloat phased-array radar that was designed with a primary mission of monitoring Soviet missile tests and which operated in conjunction with land based phased-array radar Cobra Dane and Cobra Ball aircraft.
