The following is a list of Michigan state game and wildlife areas found throughout the U.S. state of Michigan.The state has a system of publicly owned lands managed primarily for wildlife conservation, wildlife observation, recreational activities, and hunting.
The camp consists of 840 acres (3.4 km 2) of northern hardwood forest, wetlands and Lake Arrowhead, a 90-acre (360,000 m 2) private lake. 618 of the 840 is used as the main scout camp, the remaining 24 acres (0.1 km 2) is a family camp; where families can stay when their kids are at camp. Part of Big Williams Lake is also on camp property.

Pickney Recreation Area hosts several lakes open for recreation. Silver Lake is not too far from the headquarters and is open to swimming, fishing, and boating. Camping and fires should be done in designated areas only (Southwestern end of the airstrip). Hunting is by permit only. Be aware of spiders, snakes, and bugs. The island is currently operated as part of the Beaver Islands State Wildlife Research Area. More information can be found at the Michigan DNR's website. [9]

Corey Lake is a home to smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, walleye, rainbow trout, yellow perch, northern pike, and bluegill. Some fish species were introduced to the lake. The lake's fish were first surveyed by the State of Michigan in 1887. [10] Surrounding the lake are open oak woodlands. Other plants include milkweed, bluestem, and columbine.
